We are now at the beginning of a new year and new era in our lives at Red Skye Red Angus and have been reviewing our position in the cattle industry. As retirement activities (e.g., traveling and more sedentary hobbies) are becoming more important in our lives, we have had to take a hard look at our position in cattle industry, more especially in the field of raising pure-bred cattle. In that end, we have decided to drastically reduce our herd and only keep a few head of our very best animals that Bryan Mackenzie at Brylor ranch will continue to manage for us.

You will be able to check this site to see what we have as we will be updating the critters as the "herd" becomes refined. We will have our interest in the N-Bar bull and his calves have shown well this past fall. Also, Littlestone, through his semen bank is still producing calves. Dean McLaren of Bar-M has used him as the calves look really good to the extent that Six Mile bought one of the Littlestone bred heifers just before Farmfair 2005.

At this point in time, we plan to continue showing our stock with Bryan's string in this ensuing year (if they are good enough and he is willing to let us).

We sincerely hope to see everyone at the show circuit and at the sales this year.
